SteamRep Pre-Trade Checklist (Draft, v0.2)

Quick 3-Step Process:

1. Change Steam Settings to Display URL

2. Get their URL - Do not trust links they send you

3. Verify them on SteamRep.com

1. Change Steam Settings to Display URL

1. Right-click the Steam icon in lower right of your screen.
2. Select “Settings”, a settings dialog will appear
3. Select “Interface”, a list of settings will appear on the right
4. Enable “Display Steam URL address bar when available” 
5. Click "OK" to close the dialog, applying the setting.

2. Get their URL - Do not trust links they send you

1. Open their profile by clicking ONLY on the name or avatar picture.

Never trust links given in trade notes or chat! 

For friend requests, chats, or trades, click on their name or avatar only.

2. Copy URL to your clipboard

In the top left of the Steam window, copy the entire web address from that bar.

(Highlight it with your mouse, right-click and select "copy").

3. Verify them on SteamRep.com

Paste the URL into the box and click “Search” here:

Does the profile have Unconfirmed Reports?
The reports might indicate a risk. Review those reports carefully before trading.
